WASHINGTON, DC—AARP Foundation President Lisa Marsh Ryerson today announced that AARP Foundation has created a relief fund to help the victims – especially those age 50 and older –as relentless rains and unprecedented flooding devastate Houston and the southeastern Texas region. AARP Foundation and AARP will match contributions, dollar for dollar, up to $1 million for the fund, which will provide relief and recovery support to victims of Hurricane Harvey.

The Summer of Service to Seniors is a series of four events in four cities that kicked off in Memphis, Tennessee in early June.
