AARP Executive Vice President and Chief Advocacy and Engagement Officer Nancy LeaMond issued the following statement in response to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ final implementation guidance of the Medicare Drug Price Negotiation Program.
Today, AARP announced it is investing $3.6 million in 310 Community Challenge grants for quick-action projects to help communities become more livable. These grants will improve public places; transportation; housing; digital connections; diversity, equity and inclusion; and more, with an emphasis on the needs of adults age 50 and older.
Brain health is influenced by many factors, including economic and social factors such as income and financial security, housing conditions, environment, and access to nutritious food and exercise.
Today, AARP Foundation announced three new members of its Board of Directors: Elaine Boltz, Sailesh Chutani, and Noreen Gillen. The Board of Directors is the governing body of AARP Foundation, the charitable affiliate of AARP, which works towards a future without senior poverty.
AARP has been named one of The Washington Post’s 2023 Top Workplaces in the Washington, D.C. area. Selection is based solely on employee feedback gathered through an anonymous third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC, which measured several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection. This year’s honorees include government contractors, real estate firms, consulting groups, and tech companies.
