AARP Receives 2024 Top Workplaces Award from Washington Post
Seventh Consecutive Year AARP Has Been Honored

WASHINGTON—AARP has been named one of The Washington Post’s 2024 Top Workplaces in the Washington, D.C. area. Selection is based solely on employee feedback gathered through an anonymous third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC, which measured several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection. This year’s honorees include technology companies, government contractors, real estate firms and financial service providers.

“We’re honored to be recognized as a Top Workplace for the seventh year in a row,” said AARP CEO Jo Ann Jenkins. “AARP is committed to a culture where employees feel purpose in their jobs that impact millions of older adults, while also supported with exceptional benefits and opportunities for professional growth.”

“For more than a decade, The Washington Post’s Top Workplaces list has served as an essential resource for D.C. area professionals, equipping them with unparalleled insight into the best local companies to work for, as heard directly from their employees,” said Washington Post Special Initiatives Editor Bronwen Latimer. “This year we have highlighted 250 companies – more than ever before – giving a more robust picture of the current employee experience in the area.”

As a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization strengthening communities and fighting for the issues that matter most to older Americans and their families, AARP is committed to attracting, inspiring and retaining its diverse, skilled and motivated workforce. AARP offers benefits designed in alignment with its social impact agenda focused on financial resilience, health security and personal fulfillment for people age 50-plus and their families. Through an environment that encourages and enables their highest achievement, AARP employees are empowered to be everyday innovators in aging.

The Washington Post hosted an awards ceremony on Thursday, June 20 to recognize the top-ranked companies. For more about The Washington Post’s Top Workplaces and to see the full list of this year’s honorees, visit www.washingtonpost.com/business/interactive/2024/top-workplaces-2024/.
