AARP Foundation Announces Richmond, Va., as Newest Location for its BACK TO WORK 50+ Initiative

WASHINGTON, DC—AARP Foundation announced today the new Richmond, Va., location for its BACK TO WORK 50+ initiative. The new location expands the successful program, which has now grown to include 18 partners in 29 communities and highlights AARP Foundation's mission to ensure low-income older adults increase their income through employment in their communities.

In addition, BACK TO WORK 50+ will host three workshops as part of the continued efforts to provide training to older adults and build the skills they need to find gainful employment.

BACK TO WORK 50+ works with 18 community colleges, workforce investment boards and nonprofits to supply older adults with training, support and access to employers. Since its inception in 2013, BACK TO WORK 50+ has helped over 30,000 people received job search strategies and tools.
