To mark Hispanic Heritage Month, the October/November issue of AARP The Magazine (ATM) highlights numerous influential Latin-American icons, including cover star Salma Hayek who shares a rare look into her life as a professional Latin-American woman in Hollywood. And in an exciting exclusive, AARP commissioned ten of the world’s most prominent Latino artists to create portraits of legendary Latino actors, artists, leaders, athletes, musicians and activists who have made a lasting global impact. To tell their unique stories, AARP turned to current luminaries such as Carlos Santana, Edward James Olmos, Carolyne Roehm, and Bobby Valentin.
Today AARP launched the AARP Skills Builder for WorkSM, a new platform to help older workers gain in-demand skills to give them an edge in today’s competitive job market. According to AARP research, two-thirds of older workers are interested in additional job/skills training and the same amount have taken some type of training in the past two years.

Retail prices for 180 widely used specialty prescription drugs increased by an average of 4.8% in 2020, more than three times the rate of general inflation for that same period (1.3%), according to AARP’s latest Rx Price Watch Report.
