Bening – a recipient of two Golden Globes®, a Screen Actors Guild Award® and four-time Academy Award®-nominee – will be honored at the 19th annual Movies for Grownups® (MFG) Awards ceremony on January 11, 2020, in Beverly Hills.

    AARP Purpose Prize Honors Community-Focused Work by People Age 50-Plus; Five Winners, 9 Fellows Named Tuesday

    WASHINGTON—Today AARP announced its 2019-2020 AARP Purpose Prize award recipients. The AARP Purpose Prize is the only national award that celebrates people 50-plus who are using their life experience to create social change. Each of five winners will receive a $60,000 award. Additionally, AARP announced nine AARP Purpose Prize fellows, who will be also honored at the Washington, D.C. gala for the mission-focused work of the organizations they each lead. Each fellow will receive a $5,000 award to further the mission of their organization.
